To download please click on your used operating system (e.g. Windows).
You will need the Brick Daemon if you want to use any Bricks and Bricklets. The Brick Viewer is for testing purposes and flashing new firmwares and plugins onto Bricks and Bricklets.
For Debian based Linux distributions the tools are also available in our APT repository.
If you use a Linux distribution that does not use .deb
, you can
install the Brick Daemon and the Brick Viewer from source.
For Arch Linux the packages brickd and brickv are available in the AUR.
The ZIP for each programming language contains bindings for all Bricks and Bricklets and all available examples for the language. A tutorial on how to use the API bindings can be found here.
For Debian based Linux distributions the API bindings are also available in our APT repository.
The RED Brick boots from an SD card image. See the RED Brick documentation for more details about the images.
